Tailored Truths: Suits & Ties Reimagined
Menswear-inspired womenswear is nothing new. But with Saint Laurent's Fall/Winter 2025 ready-to-wear collection as part of Paris Fashion Week, featuring Bella Hadid in crisp tailoring and ties, and Emily in Paris icon Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (aka Sylvie) exuding effortless power in suited looks, the trend is having a fresh moment. The suit and tie are back—and they’ve never looked more feminine.
For this post, I styled two looks using pieces from Revival, blending menswear’s structure with a woman’s flair.
Look 1:
Think modern boardroom with a dash of vintage soul. I started with a printed blouse—soft yet strong—layered under a tan blazer that adds warmth to the look. The hero piece? A pair of grey pinstriped trousers from a classic pant suit set, grounding the outfit with a hint of nostalgia. It's subtle power dressing at its best.
Look 2:
Here’s where I turned up the volume on contrast. The full grey vintage Pierre Cardin pinstriped suit makes a bold return, this time paired with a deep burgundy shirt for a richer palette. The interplay of greys and wine tones creates a look that’s assertive, confident, and just a little playful.
Both looks are tied together—pun intended—with timeless cheetah print loafers. A touch of wild to tame the classic.
Suiting up doesn’t mean blending in. With the right pieces, it's about standing out.
