Style with Soul.

Colour with Intention.

Hi, I’m Elizabeth John — a Vancouver-based Colour Analyst and Stylist.

Fashion has always been part of my story - but so has faith, creativity, and connection.

With years of experience working with brands like Aritzia, Roots, Banana Republic, and Celine, I’ve seen firsthand how the right colours and silhouettes can illuminate someone’s natural beauty and presence.

The Philosophy

I believe that style isn’t about keeping up — it’s about coming home to yourself.

Your wardrobe should tell your story, reflect your personality, and bring a sense of peace to your daily routine. Whether you’re in a new season of life, rediscovering your confidence, or simply curious about what colours truly suit you, my goal is to guide you gently and thoughtfully through that process.

Every session with Shoulders of Gold is rooted in encouragement, authenticity, and care — helping you see the beauty that’s already there.

My Journey

Before starting Shoulders of Gold, I spent years in the fashion and education industry — mentoring students, styling clients, and teaching the creative process behind design and presentation.

But over time, I realized what truly inspired me wasn’t just clothing itself - it was transformation.

The quiet confidence that comes when someone looks in the mirror and finally feels like themselves again.

That realization led me to pursue Colour Analysis and Personal Styling, combining my background in fashion with a deeper, more personal approach to style.

What “Shoulders of Gold” Means

The name comes from a place of faith and reflection - a reminder that we carry grace, beauty, and purpose on our shoulders, even when we don’t feel it.

It’s an invitation to rediscover the light within you and let it shine outward - through colour, confidence, and creativity.

Whether you’re seeking clarity in your style, harmony in your wardrobe, or a fresh perspective on how you see yourself — I’d love to walk with you on that journey.
